Im not tech savvy enough so I hope you can click on the picture to see the stats from my blog yesterday. This is my actual back door stats I look at everyday. My mom laughs at me because the truth is, and she is not wrong, who cares? I write this blog for me. It’s not set up for money making where the subscribers count. Yet I’m obsessed with how the numbers are daily and if my blog is growing. I guess that’s just the working trait of success I never let go of when I stopped working. I love blogging but also want people to love my blog. Is that a success goal, a failure fear or a need to be liked? All interesting thoughts for another post. This is on how my post yesterday http://www.multipleexperiences.org/2016/11/30/57-reasons-im-going-vegan-according-to-nursingdegree-net/ got 2,216 hits.
I need to link another blogger here for a comment she left me:
I met you at Danny’s Meet and Greet. I came to meet and greet you. I’m Janice. I offer blogging tips to bloggers. For example, I recently wrote how to get 842 page views to your blog in less than 1 day. May I leave a link? http://www.mostlyblogging.com/get-842-page-views-to-your-blog/
Maybe you can check out my blog if you need a blogging tip or two.
In response to what you wrote, It’s wonderful you provide support for MS patients here.
Nice to meet you.
I have to admit I scanned the article but what did stand out is choosing an ODD NUMBER for your blog fact. My highest blog day prior to this was 229 when I wrote about my dogs. http://www.multipleexperiences.org/2016/11/04/a-true-dog-lover/ I flipped it onto Flipboard and people love animals. Every now and then I get tired of moaning about MS so I didn’t want to blog about it yesterday. I was going to blog about my dogs again but figured I’d have that high traffic post for December instead of November again, who knew??? When I wrote the vegan post the 57 health reasons stuck in my head because of the blog Janice sent me above, the ODD NUMBER. I NEVER expected 2,216. I must say it was exciting to watch. I got a new subscriber and people did check out my about me. However not much in relation to the amount of people that looked at the blog but one is more than I had yesterday. In case you don’t know Flipboard I explained it below. It’s free, it’s simple and another way to reach people.
What is Flipboard?
Developed by some of the biggest names in the tech industry, Flipboard is part social app, and part magazine and news app. It gathers content from social networks, news publications and blogs. Then the app displays stories, articles, blog posts, videos and other pieces of content in a magazine-like format. The Flipboard app is available on multiple operating systems and devices, including smartphones and tablets. Or access Flipboard in a web browser from your computer. Users have the ability to create their own magazines as well as subscribe to the magazines of other users or brands.
How to use Flipboard
When you first download the app and open it to get started, you’ll be able to subscribe to various topics, including News, Technology, Flipboard Picks, Design, Travel and more. You can also conduct searches for your favorite brands or bloggers to see if they have magazines on Flipboard.
Once your feed has been populated with the content you want to see, it’s time to start engaging. Like or comment on the content in your feed, or “flip it” to be republished to one of your own magazines. You can create multiple magazines and control the privacy settings for each.
If you want to see tutorials, Flipboard has them on their website, with videos included.
Flipboard has been helpful to my blog. For some reason I can’t get it picked up on stumbled upon. I wanted to share this information with other fellow bloggers out there. Best of luck. Hope this was helpful.
