My weekend review

My weekend review

Welcome back to Monday. We end up here quickly it seems. I am back to physical therapy today. I enjoyed my week off. I really enjoyed being with my beautiful daughter. She has just become this sweet woman. Her presence just made us realize how much she is missed. I can never forget how grateful I am despite any chronic disease. I don’t feel like doing the whole grateful speech so don’t worry. I really have no specific direction for…

A lovely weekend

A lovely weekend

Another Monday, they seem to come fast. I had a really nice weekend. My stepdad was here on Saturday for our weekly visit. Love that he comes every week to spend time with me. We pick a show to watch together and each week we watch a few episodes. We just finished How to Fix a Drug Scandal on Netflix. We both liked it a lot. We’ve watched Schitt’s Creek, The Watchman, The Staircase and started Veep (I already watched…

What are you watching?

What are you watching?

Since so many of us are indoors and looking for things to watch, I thought I’d once again give you my list of some of my favorites shows outside the ones everyone talks about. This is in no way any kind of order other than shows I just really enjoyed. Justified I believe you can watch the whole series on Prime or Hulu Succession two seasons so far on HBO Fringe right now you could watch the whole series with…

Cut the anchor of your past

Cut the anchor of your past

I was watching old episodes of Sex in the city last night as I went to bed and heard such a great analogy about the past. The past is an anchor pulling you down and until you release that anchor you can’t float up to the person you’re supposed to be. I may have paraphrased slightly, it was 3am, but you get the message. I thought that was pretty profound and completely true. I probably didn’t pay much attention the…

What is good on TV

What is good on TV

I have to say if you are looking for a great show, Succession on HBO is so good. I’m sorry the second season is already over. This morning, first thing, I spoke with my stepsister who I love to analyze shows with. Ok I should rephrase that, I love to hear her analysis of a show. She can remember every part, scene and look of each episode. Not just in this show in all shows. There use to be shows…

Theme to Mahogany by Diana Ross

Theme to Mahogany by Diana Ross

I was watching an episode of Divorce on HBO when Sarah Jessica Parker’s character started singing the Theme to Mahogany. This song reminds me of my dad. Sitting by the piano listening to him play on a Sunday afternoon. This song and Windmills of Your Mind were my two favorite songs to hear. I danced at my wedding with my dad to this song. I’m waiting for my video of him playing it to keep forever. I’m available to record…

Little Miss Busy

Little Miss Busy

I’m setting up my first download on my blog. Well I’m working on it. It might not be up today might be up tomorrow. The first one is actually going to be for New York State Medicaid. The reason I’m going to do this is because I hate the lawyers, no offense to lawyers out there. I’ve just done this for a very long time and I find it to be an industry where people make a lot of money…
