Happy New Year-Welcome 2018

Happy New Year-Welcome 2018

Wow, that was fast year. Happy new year to everyone, have to start with that. I hope everybody had a safe and wonderful evening wherever you were. I have to be honest, I was asleep before midnight. I think this is the first time I fell asleep on New Year’s before midnight. I was always so happy to be done with the current year and hopeful that the next year would be better that I guess I had to see the end so I’d stay up. However, 2017 wasn’t a bad year for me and I’m really looking forward to 2018. Actually, I really know 2018 is going to be in a great year for me. I feel it in every bone and cell. Therefore when I went to sleep last night, I laid my head down on the pillow without a sigh of that please and a prayer, just the thank you and a smile.

Normally, I always post New Year’s day by U2 on my social media but I’ve been doing that for so many years I wanted a change. I decided to write instead. I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions. I don’t feel a day in a year should make me stick to any change. What I’d like to do in 2018 is to finish unpacking my condo. I’d like to get my schedule back and have my life set back to normal. I’d also like to start exercising again. Now that I moved, I now have an indoor pool which is wonderful for multiple sclerosis and exercising. I’d like to be in the pool at minimum two times a week. I’d like to make some new friends in my this condominium. It holds almost 400 units and I intend to meet new people. I intend to continue with the course in miracles to change not only my life but hopefully others lives that I come in contact with. My real intention is to be thankful for the moments to be aware in a moments and be happy in the moment. It’s a pretty simple list. Very attainable. What I want is a way of life and thinking. Appreciation for what I do have and not a dwelling on what I don’t. It can be tough when you have a chronic illness that’s why my list of intentions is non-negotiable. It’s not a resolution it’s a directive.

      1. Thank you for replying! You are so kind! This jerk was beating her and we had no idea!!! Now we all know and hes running scared! Thank God she was courage to tell us as her New Year Resolution?

        1. Good for her NO I take that back, GREAT for her. No man should ever be putting a hand on her like that. She should be able to sleep each night in peace free from fear. That’s wonderful that she has her family to support her.
