Thursday dilemma

Thursday dilemma

Woke up to my phone ringing at 6:45. Thinking that it could be my daughter, I rolled to the floor instead of fighting with my stomach and arm muscles to put me in a sitting up position. By the time I got to the phone the answering machine picked up but my phone announces who is calling so I knew it wasn’t my daughter.  They didn’t leave a message but by the name, I realized it was the aide they finally got for me for today and Friday. Thinking the worst, that she wasn’t coming, I redialed the number. She said she called by accident. Ok so now I’m up. No big deal, I was sort of up anyway.

So here’s my dilemma. I have had no help since Friday. I have done all my laundry and put it away. I have kept my house as clean as I can. I’ve taken food out of the freezer so I can eat. I made rice in my rice cooker. I took out the garbage. Had someone bring me my mail. I did a lot and I’m completely exhausted. I don’t want to cook nor do I have the ingredients to cook. That means I have to go shopping first. I don’t know if I have the stamina for that let alone to cook. So what am I going to do with this aide for 8 hours besides convert oxygen to carbon dioxide? If it was my regular girl she knows we have down days and she’s prepared. The substitute aides I have a tendency to over do it with on a good day, now I’m on a bad day…that’s my dilemma.

  1. I don’t know if you have a Walmart close by that does free pick up. But I’ve started doing that. I go online and determine what my shopping list is and tell them when I want to pick it up. I just drive up to the store and they bring it out to me. It’s awesome!

  2. I just want to tell you that you are truly amazing! You have accomplished so much over the past days! I do not like cooking, so I normally order out. I know it isn’t healthy, but I don’t have the energy to cook!
I hope you have a great day! Make sure to get some rest:)!!!
    Fondly,
    Alyssa
